Introduction to the Shamanic Journey

This experiential workshop teaches basic principles and techniques used by indigenous shamans to restore health and bring help to self and others. To the beat of a drum, you learn how to enter the shamanic journey state and communicate with your power animal or spirit teacher.

Wear comfortable clothing, bring a mat or blanket to lie on, a bandana for your eyes, a notebook and pen, and a drum or rattle if you have one. $125

Medicine for the Earth: Transmuting Personal and Environmental Toxins

Dec 3rd, 4th & 5th.

A weekend retreat on Daufuskie Island, SC.

This experiential workshop teaches basic principles and techniques used by indigenous shamans to restore health and bring help to self and others. To the beat of a drum, we review how to enter the shamanic journey state and communicate with a power animal or spirit teacher. We then explore the life-changing concepts for transmuting personal and environmental toxins, as developed by Sandra Ingerman in her book Medicine for the Earth: (recommended as preliminary reading for the weekend).

$475 or $500 depending on room choice. Fee includes workshop, ferry ride from Hilton Head SC, use of golf cart, two nights and three days' fully equipped three or four bedroom cottage with shared kitchen, dining and living room, linens, pre-and post cleaning, taxes and tips. Bring your own food or eat at local restaurants.

Prerequisite: Introduction to the Shamanic Journey and/or experience in the methods of how to enter the shamanic journey state and communicate with your power animals and spirit teachers.

This ongoing intermediate group meets alternate Thursdays from 6:00 to 8:00pm.

Prerequisite: Introduction to the Shamanic Journey or equivalent. Bring a blanket, bandana, notebook & pen; drum or rattle optional.

Course: Divination and Healing with Spiritual Light

Additional Information: This training is designed for developing shamanic healing skills for the benefit of others. Divination works with a variety of shamanic methods for gathering information and receiving guidance. Healing with Spiritual Light explores embodying spirituality as a healing skill. We will also look at how the ethics of caring apply to working in an altered state of consciousness.

Pre-requisite: Medicine for the Earth/Introduction to the Shamanic Journey with Carol (Dec 3rd - 5th, 2010) or similar journey experience. First of a series of four retreat weekends.

Course: Extraction Training

Additional Information: This training is designed for developing shamanic healing skills for the benefit of others. Extraction Training teaches how to use the shamanic journey to locate and identify the metaphoric and symbolic nature of pain and illness as intrusions. It also teaches techniques to provide relief by removing and safely disposing of these intrusions.

Pre-requisite: Medicine for the Earth/Introduction to the Shamanic Journey with Carol (Dec 3rd - 5th, 2010) or similar journey experience. Second of a series of four retreat weekends.

Course: Soul Retrieval

Cost: $650.00 - $780.00 depending on room type. 10% discount for the series.

Additional Information: In this practice, we work with our spirit allies to locate, retrieve and restore those parts of the client's soul that have fragmented off in times of trauma to avoid being injured. This training is for those who want to learn this healing technique for use with others, NOT for those who seek this healing for themselves.

Course: Death and Dying

Additional Information: This work develops the classic role of the psychopomp - the one who works compassionately to help others through the dying process. We explore our own relationship with this process and the classic shamanic skills for guiding souls in transition.
