I am experienced in teaching all of the classes and topics covered below. You may choose to learn either one-on-one with me or in a small group of two to four participants. Let me know which you prefer, what dates and time frames work for you and if you have a friend or two who also want to participate. I'll match that with what I have open, and with others who are interested. See Scheduling and Fees for time frames, housing and costs of residential events. All events take place on Daufuskie Island, SC which is accessed by a complimentary 25 minute ferry ride from Hilton Head, SC.

Introduction to the Shamanic Journey (Residential)

To the steady rhythm of the drum, we explore how to:
   Enter the meditative state of the shamanic journey
   Discover your power animal and spirit teacher
   Formulate effective questions
   Access your intuitive wisdom
   Receive teachings for healing and growth

This experiential workshop teaches basic principles and techniques used by indigenous shamans to restore health and bring help to self and others. To the beat of a drum, you learn how to enter the shamanic journey state and communicate with your power animal or spirit teacher.

Wear comfortable clothing, bring a mat or blanket to lie on, a bandana for your eyes, a notebook and pen, and a drum or rattle if you have one.

Medicine for the Earth: Transmuting Personal and Environmental Toxins (Residential)

This intermediate workshop teaches how to apply the principles and techniques of the shamanic journey to explore the life-changing concepts of transmuting personal and environmental toxins, as developed by Sandra Ingerman in her book Medicine for the Earth, (recommended as preliminary reading for the workshop). Prerequisite: Introduction to the Shamanic Journey and/or experience in the methods of how to enter the shamanic journey state to communicate with your power animals/spirit teachers.

Monthly Intermediate Shamanic Journey Circle:

4th Friday evening of the month. 

Prerequisite: Introduction to the Shamanic Journey or equivalent.
Bring a blanket, bandana, notebook & pen; drum or rattle optional.

Each week we will do two or three journeys on a specific topic and share the teachings received. Registration and payment by the 3rd Friday. $25 per class or five classes for $100 in advance.

Shamanic Healing Training Series

Each of the first four courses listed is a two and a half day residential workshop. They may be taken in any order. Soul Retrieval is a four and one half day residential workshop, and must be preceded by at least one of the others.

Divination and Healing with Spiritual Light

Pre-requisite: solid experience in using Shamanic Journey techniques.
This training is designed for developing shamanic healing skills for the benefit of others.
Divination works with a variety of shamanic methods for gathering information and receiving guidance. Healing with Spiritual Light explores embodying spirituality and light as healing skill tools. We will also look at how the ethics of caring apply to working in an altered state of consciousness.

Extraction

Pre-requisite: solid experience in using Shamanic Journey techniques.
This training is designed for developing shamanic healing skills for the benefit of others.
Extraction Training teaches how to use the shamanic journey to locate and identify the metaphoric and symbolic nature of pain and illness as intrusions. It then teaches techniques to provide relief by removing and safely disposing of these intrusions.

Death and Dying

Pre-requisite: solid experience in using Shamanic Journey techniques.
This work develops the classic role of the psychopomp -- the one who works compassionately to help others through the dying process. We explore our own relationship with this process and the classic shamanic skills for guiding souls in transition.

Soul Retrieval

Pre-requisite: solid experience in using Shamanic Journey techniques.
In this practice, we work with our spirit allies to locate, retrieve and restore those parts of the client's soul that have fragmented off in times of trauma to avoid being injured.
This training is for those who want to learn this healing technique for use with others, NOT for those who seek this healing for themselves.

Reiki Healing Training

Reiki I attunement

This is a one-day workshop to learn the history, principles, ethics and use of Reiki, to receive the attuning energies, and to practice giving and receiving healing.
?Reiki I is a pre-requisite for Reiki II.

Reiki II attunement

Completion of Reiki I and minimum of 6 months practice required.
This one-day attunement enhances and expands Reiki skills, teaches giving of long-distance Reiki healings and learning the meanings/uses of the Reiki symbols.
